Chad Price, Sammy Kay, & Chuck ColesFREE
Chad Price is best known for being the lead singer for the melodic hardcore punk band All and alt-country band Drag the River, and is currently the lead singer for A Vulture Wake. He released his first solo record, Smile Sweet Face, in 2009 and in the same year performed as part of The Revival Tour. Price released his second solo record, One Week, In 2018 on Joey Cape’s label, One Week Records.
Life works in a delicate balance, a push and pull of tragedy and hope. Singer-songwriter Sammy Kay teeters with acrobatic ease between both facets of the human condition across the entirety of his new record. A storybook by nature, civil/WAR depicts a smorgasbord of characters — many of them weary and downtrodden from addiction, mental health, death, suicide and heartache.
Kay, whose voice is unmistakably shattering, has played with or onstage alongside such bands as The Gaslight Anthem, Mumford & Sons, American Aquarium and The Bouncing Souls. His impressive resume has certainly not diluted the craft itself; even after he wanted to walk away from the industry altogether, the songs inside his head drew him back in again.
Chuck Coles is a Canadian musician who was the guitarist for heavy metal band Brown Brigade and the lead singer, guitarist for the band The Organ Thieves. In 2013 he joined Burlington, Ontario based punk/psychobilly band The Creepshow as lead guitarist. Coles did a small southern Ontario solo tour in 2017 opening for Against Me!. Currently he fronts his own solo act – Chuck Coles and the United Snakes.
